Barbara was very responsive and worked around the problem of our British phones not working in Chile so that our check in went very smoothly. It was lovely to receive a welcome pack of juice, eggs, bread milk and butter as we had not been able to bring anything with us and arrived too late for the local supermarket. The house was easy to find on the main road leading to the town centre. Being very central, it was within easy walking distance of the tourist centre, restaurants and close to a supermarket. We were glad of the off road parking but, as other reviewers have said, it required careful and skilful driving to get on and off the drive. The there was some traffic noise, particularly in the front bedroom; whilst we slept very well, light sleepers might need earplugs. The house was well equipped allowing us to self cater one night. The beds were very comfortable with lovely linen and pillows. We enjoyed our stay in Puerto Varas very much.

This is a lovely old wooden house, on the main road up from the centre of the town, but only a short walk away. It was cold when we arrived, but the wood stove had the place toasty within a couple of hours, with a plentiful supply of pellets provided. Although it was still August, we managed a barbecue on the rear deck one night, enjoying a great steak from the excellent butcher in the centre of town!As mentioned by others, the driveway is a bit challenging, particularly when the road is busy. But, with care, we managed without mishap during our stay. Barbara was regularly in touch through messaging during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.

Barbara’s house is on a main road heading into town. At first I was worried about noise but it was not an issue. At this point in our trip we were looking for convenience and this house was exactly that! There is a large grocery store about a block away and from there it is a very short stroll into town. We loved having it all so accessible.The house itself is very secure with gates that open automatically to the house and the parking space. There is attractive and interesting art and decor, very comfortable beds and every kitchen accessory you could want. The most amazing feature of the house is a huge deck on the back surrounded by lovely, green foliage.
